Hunting Zones
At Thompson Outfitters, we typically will run 4 migrator setups and 4-5 semi-permanent feed setups near the roost. You can expect hunting feeding birds out of cornfields with a- frames, layouts or water setups out of pits on heavy traffic migration corridors the birds use en route north. If we’re hunting migrators and the birds aren’t pushing north we will typically move late afternoon to hunt near the roost feeding birds. If it looks to be a good migration day we may hunt feeding birds in the morning and switch to a migrator setup midday. We are extremely aggressive in our pursuit of snows and adapt to the changing circumstances each day to put you on a great hunt.
