Huge Realistic Decoy Setups
On our Missouri and Nebraska spring hunts we target snow geese with multiple huge professional realistic setups both on agricultural fields and over water. We have heated pitblinds over water and corn. We also hunt out of aframes or layouts depending which locations we hunt and what the geese are doing. Our setups are typically 2500+ full body and supported motion windsock decoys with the most realistic paint schemes on the market! We run multiple setups to ensure we always have hot fields. Beware of outfitters or guides that run only one decoy setup that is hunted day after day. We will rotate hunters out of slow fields to different fields to give them better opportunities. The honest truth is no decoy setup is hot shooting every day. This is why we have multiple setups and other setups in the trailer. It is not uncommon if hunting is slow in one field to move to another later in the day or evening. When necessary we will deploy setups of up to 5,000 decoys per setup. Snow geese can be a creature of numbers. We are extremely aggressive in our pursuit of decoying snow geese. Our setups and hunting techniques have continued to evolve with the geese as they have become wiser each season. We utilize several different flying decoys and motion machines. Also in our arsenal is the newest wireless technology available on our electronic calls. We only use proven call tracks that are as close quality to live birds as possible.
Spring Snow Goose Conservation Season
This special late winter, spring season for hunting snow geese was implemented to help control the exploding population. The damage they’re causing to their habitat far north on the artic tundra breeding nesting grounds in Canada is concerning to fish and wildlife officials. The snow geese are destroying their own habitat they live in. Resulting regulations include shooting hours extended from 30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset for this special spring snow goose season. Electronic calls are legal as well as no plugs required in shotguns. There is no shell capacity requirement. There is no daily limit or possession limit on snow, blue, or ross geese during this special season that currently runs in Nebraska and Missouri Feb. 7 - April 15 and South Dakota Feb. 17- May 15
